Terms Of Service
Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the coding tuition services provided by LFN Coder ("we," "us," "our"), a service operated by TimasDev, LLC. By booking an orientation, creating an account, or enrolling in a course, you ("student," "client," "you") agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree to both documents, you should not use our Services.

Eligibility and Age Requirements
Our Services are available to students age 14 and older.
- Students 18 and older may create their own account and act as the client of record.
- Students age 14–17 may not create an account directly. Their parent or legal guardian must contact us, create the account, and act as the client of record on the student's behalf, as described in Section 3.
- We do not knowingly provide Services to anyone under the age of 14.
- During enrollment, we collect a self-declared date of birth for the student, used solely to confirm eligibility. During the orientation call, we will ask each participant (or their guardian) to confirm their age or legal status in their region as a good-faith verification step. This is a representation of age, not formal proof, and orientation calls are recorded partly to document this confirmation (see Section 8). Orientation calls may include a single prospective student or multiple prospective students scheduled together, depending on booking volume; the age-confirmation step applies individually to each participant regardless of format.
Orientation Booking
- Booking an orientation call requires a non-refundable $1 booking fee. This fee is non-refundable regardless of whether the orientation occurs, is missed, or is rescheduled.
- The $1 fee is disclosed prior to payment and applies only to reserving a discussion slot; it is not a deposit toward tuition.
Guardian Accounts for Minors
Where the student is between 14 and 17 years old:
- The parent or legal guardian is the client of record for all legal, contractual, and billing purposes — not the student.
- All account creation, transactions, service inquiries (other than day-to-day study matters), notices, and official communication will be directed to the guardian's registered email.
- The student may be addressed directly only during live classes or informal study-related interactions (e.g., group chat, live class Q&A). These interactions are not part of the client-provider relationship and will not substitute for official communication with the guardian.
- Documents, invoices, and account records will bear the guardian's name as account holder. Certificates may be issued in the student's name only with the guardian's written consent.
Enrollment and Batch Confirmation
- After orientation, the client must accept these Terms and make an initial tuition payment to confirm enrollment in a batch.
- The client will select 2–3 convenient schedule options; we will confirm one based on availability.
- We commit to confirming a suitable batch within 30 days of the initial payment. If we are unable to do so within that period, the client is entitled to a full refund of the initial tuition payment (not the $1 orientation fee), or may choose to continue waiting, at their discretion.
- If no schedule can be matched at all, we will notify the client and offer the choice between a refund or continuing to wait for a future batch.
Class Format and Delivery
- Classes are generally conducted in groups via live video conference (Zoom or Google Meet). Private tuition (online or in-person) is available on request, subject to availability and approval.
- In group classes, your display name/nickname and, if enabled, your video and audio, are visible to other enrolled students through the conferencing platform. For guardian accounts, the name shown may be the student's chosen class name rather than the guardian's legal name.
- Class access links are shared with the registered email within 24 hours of the scheduled session. You may join only using the email registered to your account.
In-Person Tuition
Where a session takes place in person (e.g., at a student's home):
- For students under 18, a parent or guardian must be present on the premises for the duration of the session.
- The guardian must provide a direct emergency contact phone number reachable during the session, separate from the general account contact information.
- Except where caused by our own negligence, LFN Coder is not liable for injury, accident, or property damage occurring during an in-person session. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Instructor Conduct and Safety
LFN Coder is currently operated by a single instructor. If we engage additional instructors or mentors in the future, this section applies equally to them.
- Students and guardians must not share personal identifying information (such as home address, phone number, or social media contacts) with the instructor outside of official account channels, and must not solicit such information from the instructor.
- If the instructor requests personal contact information unrelated to the Services, suggests any meeting or contact outside official LFN Coder sessions, or otherwise behaves inappropriately, you may report this to our independent contact at timasdev@gmail.com — a contact separate from the instructor, provided so that concerns about the instructor's own conduct can be raised without going through the instructor directly. We treat all such reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
Class Recordings
- Classes, including orientation calls, may be recorded. By enrolling in or attending a class, you (or, for students under 18, your guardian) explicitly consent to being recorded on video and audio, and, for group classes, to appearing in recordings alongside other students. Some US states require all-party consent to recording; this clause serves as that consent for our Services. If you do not consent to being recorded, please notify us before your first session so we can discuss whether a non-recorded arrangement (e.g., camera/mic off, or an alternative session format) is possible.
- Recordings are provided to enrolled students to review missed content and are retained for the duration of the course plus 3 months, except orientation recordings, which may be retained longer for verification purposes.
- In addition to student access, we may use recordings internally for quality control and improving our teaching methods, curriculum, and Services (including, if we engage additional instructors in the future, their training and performance review). We will not share recordings with any third party for purposes unrelated to delivering or improving our Services, except as required by law.
- Recordings are our copyrighted material. You receive a personal, non-transferable license to view them for your own private study. You may not copy, re-upload, redistribute, broadcast, or share recordings outside your household without our written consent. Unauthorized distribution may result in legal action.
- Recordings may include the voices, video, or likeness of other students. You agree not to identify, share, or distribute any portion of a recording that features other students.
Attendance and Punctuality
- We begin instruction within 5 minutes of the scheduled start time. Joining after the class has started is not our liability, and the session will proceed as scheduled without repeating missed content live.
- If you are unable to attend a scheduled class, the session will still proceed as scheduled and will not be repeated live; the recording (Section 8) will serve as your access to that session's content.
- Disruptions on the student's side (e.g., internet issues, environment, personal interruptions) do not entitle the student to a repeated live session; the class will continue and conclude as scheduled.
Rescheduling
- Group classes generally cannot be rescheduled. If missed, the recording is available as described in Section 8.
- Students enrolled in private tuition (online or in-person) may request a reschedule, provided the request is made at least 24 hours in advance and does not exceed 2 reschedule requests per month, subject to availability. Reschedule requests made less than 24 hours in advance, or missed private sessions, will be treated as a session delivered; additional hours to cover the missed topic may be billed separately.
Company-Initiated Schedule Changes
If we are unable to hold a class at the scheduled time, we will provide notice 8–24 hours in advance where possible, and the affected topic will be covered in an additional session at no extra cost to the student.
Payments and Refund Policy
All tuition and fees are charged in US Dollars (USD) via Stripe-supported payment methods. We are not responsible for currency conversion fees or exchange rate differences charged by your bank or card issuer.
The following refund principle applies across all scenarios described in these Terms, unless a specific section states otherwise:
Refunds, where applicable, are calculated based on unused or undelivered sessions only. The $1 orientation fee is always non-refundable. Sessions already delivered are never refunded.
Specific scenarios:
- We cannot confirm a batch (Section 4): full refund of the initial tuition payment.
- A confirmed batch falls below minimum enrollment and is terminated by us: remaining students are refunded for their remaining, undelivered sessions.
-
Student withdraws voluntarily: For any month in which the student withdraws partway through:
- If the student has attended half or fewer of that month's scheduled classes, the client is charged (and, if already paid, refunded the difference) for half of that month's tuition value.
- If the student has attended more than half of that month's scheduled classes, the client is charged for the full month, and no refund applies to that month.
- Any subsequent months of the course that have not yet begun are fully refunded.
Example: A 3-month, $900 course ($300/month, 8 classes/month). A student withdraws after attending 3 classes in month 2 (fewer than half of 8). The client owes/retains half of month 2's fee ($150) and is refunded the other half ($150), plus the full $300 for month 3, which had not yet begun.Refund eligibility beyond this formula (e.g., waiving the current month's charge for a documented emergency) remains at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.
- Termination for non-payment (Section 13): no refund, as this scenario involves fees already owed for delivered or committed sessions, not prepaid unused sessions.
- Termination for other cause: any prepaid, undelivered sessions are refunded; delivered sessions and the $1 fee are not.
Where a refund is due under any of the above, it will be processed within 14 business days of the refund being approved.
Non-Payment and Termination
- If payment is not received by the due date, we will attempt to contact the client to determine the reason for delay.
- Classes may continue for up to 4 scheduled sessions (approximately 2 weeks) without payment before access is suspended.
- If payment issues remain unresolved after this period, we may terminate the account with notice. Termination for non-payment does not entitle the client to a refund for sessions already delivered or committed, per Section 12.
- If an account is later reinstated after a period of termination or suspension, classes missed during that period will not be repeated live. The student will be provided with the recordings of those sessions only, consistent with our standard recording policy (Section 8).
Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, internet or power outages, illness, or government action. Affected sessions will be rescheduled or covered via recording where reasonably possible.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LFN Coder's total liability arising from these Terms or the Services is limited to the amount paid by the client in the preceding 3 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our Services. We do not guarantee any particular learning outcome, skill level, certification acceptance by any third party, or employment or career result from use of our Services.
Communication
All official communication, notices, invoices, and account matters will be conducted through the email address registered to the account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials; we are not liable for unauthorized use of a shared or compromised account.
Group Communications and Conduct
- We may set up group chats (via WhatsApp, Discord, or similar platforms) for a batch or across all students, at our discretion, for students to share knowledge and support each other's learning. Participation is optional.
- If a group chat is hosted on WhatsApp, other participants in that group may be able to see your phone number. If you would prefer not to have your phone number visible to other students or guardians, let us know and we will either use a platform that does not expose phone numbers (such as Discord) or exclude you from group chats without affecting your access to classes.
- Group classes and group chat channels are shared spaces. Do not share sensitive personal information (such as home address, financial details, or private contact information) in these shared spaces; content shared there may be visible to, and retained by, other participants.
- We reserve the right to moderate, remove, or restrict access to content or participants in group channels that we consider inappropriate, disruptive, or in violation of these Terms, without prior notice.
Non-Circumvention
You agree not to solicit, engage, or arrange coding tuition services directly with the instructor or any future LFN Coder mentor outside of our platform, during your enrollment and for 6 months after your course ends. This does not restrict pre-existing relationships formed independently of LFN Coder.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold LFN Coder harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or third-party right, except to the extent caused by our own negligence or misconduct.
Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the parties before pursuing formal legal action.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to the registered account holder prior to taking effect. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LFN Coder regarding the Services. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to do so later. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets; you may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent.
